If you're a venue that wants to join in
Unlike in England and Wales where you can only tie the knot outside if you’re under a roofed structure, you can get married anywhere in Scotland.
With so much stunning scenery to choose from, you’ve got your pick of glens, mountaintops, beaches and loch banks, but there are plenty of amazing indoor wedding venues too!
Nestled on the banks of Loch Ness and set in the beautiful highland countryside is this stunning Grade A listed castle. But there’s no Nessy in sight at this venue, in fact, you couldn’t find a more fitting castle for Cinderella!
It’s fairy tale turrets, maze of landings, towers and winding staircases have been magically restored. There’s plenty of rooms to choose from for a ceremony and reception, from the Laird’s Room to the Great Hall. The beautiful Dores Chutch is nearby, or choose the banks of Loch Ness itself for an outdoor ceremony!
There’s also the gardens, complete with colourful arbours, Orangeries and bridges, but nothing can beat the 500 acres of rugged Scottish Highlands and that iconic lake for a dramatic and breathtaking backdrop.
If you love quirky then Roulotte Retreat is definitely the Highland location for you.
Breathtaking in it’s unique conception, it is the only place in the UK with a collection of French hand carved Roulottes housed around a lochan. You and your guests can enjoy the ambience and passion of France in the heart of the Scottish Borders Countryside. In three words – Eco Chic Romantique!
The feel is rustic, boutique and utterly unique. Be at one with the wild Scottish countryside by holding the wedding ceremony in an enchanting wildflower meadow next to a loch, surrounded by wild Scottish woodland.
The gorgeous Routlettes provide accommodation for you and your guests, and there is also a 1950’s Studio on site. Guests can gather around the huge wood burning stove at its heart, and create culinary delights in the adjoining kitchen.
The communal firepit next to the loch is the place top be for star gazing under the breathtaking dark skies, just below the Eildons and nearby River Tweed.
Our last location is a breathtaking blend of classic Georgian charm and elegance.
The Royal Scots Club has a rich history, having been founded in 1919 as a tribute to those who fell in The First World War. You do not have to be Member to tie the knot in the stunningly beautiful rooms, but you do get to enjoy all the benefits of The Club’s facilities and top service.
The Club is housed in one of Edinburgh’s most romantic and picturesque areas, harping back to splendour from times of old, and the historic and tranquil Princes Street Gardens are right on the doorstep.
