If you're a venue that wants to join in
Queen's Eyot is a secluded four acre island on the Thames, a few miles upstream from Windsor.
The island is accessed by its own private ferry and there could be no more magical venue than Queen's Eyot for your wedding reception. Superbly located on the River Thames, the island provides a picturesque, unusual and romantic setting for your wedding reception.
Owned by Eton College since 1923, the island has a beautiful clubhouse built in a classical style from cedar and pine, decorate throughout with memorabilia from the college's illustrious rowing history. The word Eyot (pronounced 'eight') is old English and means 'a small island' and is used almost exclusively to describe islands on the Thames.
The clubhouse is surrounded by extensive, well-tended lawns and mature trees and has views of passing boats and wildlife on the river.
Guests will be enchanted with their arrival by ferry and the peaceful setting of mature trees, extensive lawns and riverside gardens - a perfect backdrop for your wedding photographs.
We have chosen not to offer set package prices for wedding receptions to allow us the flexibility to create your day to your specific wishes. Simply take the venue hire and build upon it with arrival drinks, canapes, menu, wines and evening buffet you require. If you have more than 60 guests we can supply a luxury marquee which can cater for up to 150 guests for a formal meal or 200 for a buffet or barbecue. The clubhouse can accommodate up to 60.
The island will be exclusively yours for the day with the winning combination of an unusual, secluded venue, excellent catering, a varied wine selection and professional, friendly staff.
