If you're a venue that wants to join in
This magnificent Tudor-Jacobean country house dates back to the 1500s and is a perfect Leeds wedding venue.
Described as the Hampton Court of the North, it is steeped in history and grandeur. The House is set within 1500 acres of a Capability Brown landscape of stunning rolling parkland, formal gardens and intimate lakesides.
We are delighted to offer within the House three exquisite rooms to suit either a large or more intimate celebration.
The Great Hall can comfortably accommodate up to one hundred guests for both ceremony and wedding breakfast and has a ‘secret door’ that exits out onto the South Terrace, perfect for a drinks reception and photographs.
The Dining Room is the perfect location for an intimate ceremony for up to forty guests or thirty seated to dine. For couples wanting something quirky, the Still Room is ideal for forty guests for a ceremony or twenty for the wedding breakfast. Just a short walk from the House is the Walled Garden Marquee as a location for your wedding breakfast and party for up to 200 guests.
At Temple Newsam we believe that your day has to be exactly how you want it to be. One of our small team will meet with you to discuss your needs, help you plan and then be there on the day.
Your wedding will be the only one at Temple Newsam on your day and for the time that you are with us you and your guests have exclusive access to the ground floor rooms of the House.
Temple Newsam House and Estate feels rural and is surrounded by countryside, yet it is only four miles from Leeds City centre and two miles from the M1.
